Please pay close attention to the following:

• Save document as an RTF or Word file (no Word 2007 *.docx files) and name it the TITLE of your manuscript

• Insert entry form into the body of the email

• IN THE SUBJECT LINE YOU MUST have the title and category of your entry

• NEW: All paypal payments must contain the word ‘FAB’, your name, category, and MS title

• Send to: fab@okrwa.com

Participation is open to all unpublished authors of novel-length romance fiction. All work must be the author’s original work, and cannot be contracted for publication prior to the entry deadline.  Each manuscript must have finaled, but not won in a previous RWA or RWA chapter-sponsored contest. (Manuscripts which placed in the Top Quarter of the Golden Heart are also eligible.)

NOTE: If your MS finals in a contest for which placements have not been figured by August 15, 2010, it is eligible for the FAB, even if it ends up winning first place.

All entries must arrive via email by midnight on September 10, 2010.

If using PayPal, please put your name, the category, MS title and 'FAB' in the subject line. If sending a check through the mail, please write the category and MS title on the check.

• Author’s name and TITLE may not appear anywhere on the manuscript or the entry will be disqualified!

• Entry must be the first pages of your manuscript with the total entry no longer than 30 pages.

• Entry must be presented in proper standard manuscript format (double-spaced and approximately one-inch margins size 12 font).

• Header on manuscript pages should contain the category and FIRST LINE of the manuscript in the upper left corner and the page number in the upper right. NOTE: It is not necessary to include the entire first line, the first five words or so is sufficient.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES MAY DISQUALIFY THE ENTRY AND THE ENTRY FEE MAY NOT BE REFUNDED.
